Serginho joined Sada Cruzeiro in 2010/11 and since has accumulated numerous titles. He is twice a club world champion (2015 and 2013) and a runner-up in Qatar (2012), he was elected the best libero in the three editions of the tournament and best receiver in 2012. He is also a three-time South American champion (2016, 2014 and 2012), and a runner-up in 2015, when he was chosen as the best libero, a prize that he had received in 2012. He is a champion of the Superliga (2011/12, 2013/14, 2014/15 and 2015/16) and is a seven-times national champion, three times with Minas. Serginho has also accumulated many individual awards: best defense of the Superliga in 2015/16, 2014/15, 2012/13 and 2011/12, when he was also named best libero. He is a Supercopa champion (2015), a two-time winner of the Copa Brasil (2016 and 2014), a three-time champion of the Irvine-USA Tournament (2010, 2011 and 2014) and a six-time Mineiro (2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015). With Minas Tenis Club, he was a three-time champion of the Superliga (2000/01, 2001/02, 2006/07) and a runner-up in 2004/05, 2005/06, 2007/08 and 2008/09.
